Virtual Voices: John Phelan (ICMP) in conversation with MEP Axel Voss on the EU Copyright Reform Process

On September 14th 2021, Canadian Music Week, in partnership with Music Publishers Canada, hosted a conversation with Axel Voss (MEP, European Parliament’s Lead Negotiator: EU Copyright Directive), and John Phelan (Director General, International Confederation of Music Publishers). This virtual panel provided an overview of the history and current status of the EU Copyright Directive with a focus on Article 17, as well as offered lessons for Canada.
